Busy Fingers

12th November 2015

This week in Busy Fingers we made star decorations. Mr Minty made our templates for us (Thank You Mr Minty!) and we had to soak our wool in PVA glue and then wrap it around the template to create our stars. We have left them to dry and next week we will remove the nails to see our creations.

This week in Busy Fingers we made sock snowmen. They were really fun to make and they looked so cute when they were finished.

Today in Busy fingers we tried cross stitching. The cardboard decorations were very kindly donated to the school (thank you!). We were able to create our own cross stitch decoration on them and now they are ready to hang on our Christmas trees.

Mrs Hobden and Miss Hughes also took the nails out of our stars which we created on our first week. We think they look great and we can wait to hang them at home.

Welcome back!

The children have all been very busy over the last 2 weeks learning how to crochet. Most of them have made some lovely bracelets using the chain stitch. They have also been learning how to start a magic ring. When they have mastered this we will then be able to crochet hats and toy heads. The children have found this very tricky but they haven't given up and they have promised to keep on trying.
