Jewellery

Children may wear watches and those with pierced ears may wear stud ear-rings, however other jewellery is not permitted and should be left at home. These items (as with other personal belongings) remain the responsibility of the child at all times.  Rings, necklaces and bracelets are not to be worn. Makeup and nail varnish are also not permitted in school.

On the grounds of safety, stud earrings must be removed for P.E., this includes games and swimming.  If a child is unable to remove stud earrings independently, it is the responsibility of the parent/carer to ensure that they are not worn to school on the day of PE sessions. Any child who does come into school wearing earrings on the day of PE sessions will have them covered with Micropore medical tape to enable them to take part in the session. The school will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury if a child is unable to remove ear-studs for physical activities.
